After you place your order you will receive an order confirmation e-mail. Once payment is processed you will receive a second e-mail that will include your exam voucher number -- you need this number to register for your exam. It is important that you provide a valid e-mail address and that your system does not block messages from CompTIA.org.

Vouchers are only available for purchase and use at a Pearson VUE test center in North America. Vouchers expire twelve months from date of purchase. The Voucher must be used to schedule and sit for the exam on or before the expiration date. The specific expiration date will be sent with the voucher number via email. All sales of exam vouchers are final, no exceptions.

Global Purchase Ain't Easy December 12, 2016

I am currently going through the process of purchasing vouchers and certifying the global support team that I manage, to do this I had to create an account for each region and make multiple transactions. This makes it a pain for me as I have to submit multiple purchase requests and then manage 3 different portals.

Replies back from customer support is slow, there is no chat support, which would have been a big help along my journey.

Voucher numbers need to be faster December 9, 2016

the CompTIA website is not easy to navigate and should coordinate beter with PearsonVUE. I purchased a voucher and had 2 spots available for a Saturday appointment at a location 4 miles from me. Because CompTIA took so long to get me a voucher number, by the time I tried to get one of those 2 available slots, they were gone. I had to drive to a location 60 miles away to take my test.

If Comptia needs 2 hours to get a voucher number, we should be able to reserve a spot and put a 3 hour hold on it. Better yet, with today's technology, it should not take 2 hours to get a voucher number when the credit card I used to pay for it was charged instantly, not 2 hours later.

Also the site I went to an hour away was a dump and not conducive to test taking. This is not directly CompTIA's fault but their delay in getting me a voucher contributed to having a poor testing experience.
